This online memorial was created in loving memory of Dr. Andrew Vincent, whose life story is told throughout this memorial website.

As Director of the Macquarie University Centre for Middle East and North African Studies, Andrew became a firm favourite with the media, always on hand to discuss often highly political topics with journalists, day and night. The Middle East simulations he developed for high school students were almost legendary. Andrew died after suffering a long illness while on leave and teaching at the American University, Beirut. Our condolences are sent to his wife Petra, who was with him in Beirut.
